We’re starting with our first finger on the 5th fret of the 5th string, we’re going to play that note twice and then we go up an octave which will be on the 7th fret of the 3rd string. I’m going to play 5, 7, 5, and 7, on the 4th string. Basically I’ve got some 8th notes and a triplet one and then I make that notes a little bit staccato.

We’re going to jump down to the low G which will be on the 3rd fret of the 6th string and play the same riff, but shifted to a new root note. This will be 3, 3, 5, and 5, again on that octave. These notes are the same it’s just eight tones higher and then back up to the root then I go to a 5th fret 5, 5, and 7, back down to the 3rd fret and then finally back home to D. That’s it we’ve just got the 3 chords there D, G, and A.
