Check out this How to Do Easy Blues Turnaround on Guitar from Guitar Control founder and instructor Claude Johnson.
Yo, Claude Johnson here with GuitarControl.com and I’m going to bring you a little mini lesson today on a blues turn around. So you may already know this one if you’re a little bit experienced and if you’re a beginner you’ll be able to learn and it sounds like this…
So you may have heard that before, that’s great, so in the context of a blues shuffle… this is in the key of E… here’s the turnaround… So E7… A7… and then I just hit my E chord and then I do this… So this little move here I’m on the B string, a little slide up from the second fret to the 3rd fret and what I’m doing here is I’m picking the B string with my pick and then plucking the high E string with my middle finger. So I slide and pluck back to the 3rd fret of the high string again and again to the first fret and hit that B string, just let it ring, and then open first and second once again.
So check the link in the video description and you’ll get the tabs for that and that’s it for today. If you want to get a bunch of more blues licks check out my blues course. I do over 240 tabs examples of lots of cool stuff; blues patterns, turnarounds, riffs, you name it. Check that out at guitarcontrol.com/blues.
