Hey, guys. Claude Johnson here with guitarcontrol.com. I want
to show you a little lick that I think is very instructive.
It’s in the key of A minor and I’m here on the 10th fret of
the B string. First, I wanted to show you this pattern. It’s
going to be 10th fret, 12th fret, 13th fret and the next string,
again, 10, 12, 13. So here’s the lick.
I’m using some nice little bends, which may be a little
unusual for you because we think of bends usually in a
bluesy setting. These are also unusual because they’re
half-step bends. We’re going to go straight up and then
12th fret high E string, just a little half-step bend and
back down. And on the way down another half-step bend from
the 12th fret and some vibrato. It’s kind of a little bit
bluesy, but a little bit metal-y kind of, too.
