Easy Country Guitar Lick with Open Strings - Country Guitar Lesson Brad Paisley Style

Hi, everybody. This is Darren from guitarcontrol.com
and today I want to bring you a little lesson, it’s
a country lesson. This is a pretty cool, easy legato
lick that you can play. It uses open strings in the
first position. So let’s get into it.

The very first note is on the 2nd fret of the 3rd string
using my 1st finger. You’re going to pick that note and
then do a pull-off to the open string. Then I’m going
to go to the 4th fret of the 4th string and then back to
the 3rd string open. Pretty easy so far.

Next is I’m going to do a pull-off from the 4th fret of
the 4th string to the 2nd fret and then to the open string.
So far…

Next, go to the 5 string. I’m going to play it open and
then I’m going to do a hammer-on to the 3rd fret and then
to the 4th fret. I’m going to follow that with the 4th
string open. So far…

Next I’m going to pick the 3rd fret of the 5 string and
pull-off to the 2nd fret and then pull-off to the open string.

Finally, the 6th string open and then to the 3rd fret of
the 6th string and I’m going to bend that up a full step
and then play just a regular open A chord.

So the whole lick, slowly…

Well, I hope you enjoyed this lesson. Be sure to click on
the link for the tabs so you can learn how to play the
lick yourself. Until next time….
