Approx 30 years ago I realized I was unhappy with my lead playing. So I sat down with BB King albums and started with just a one note solo! Till I got locked into the rhythmic feel. I then expanded to 2 and 3 notes. So this is good for beginners and also for anyone wishing to retool their lead playing. Because Rhythm and syncopation is more important than the actual note or interval.

as an new age rocker of 62 years old, I am working with you on a regular basis. (albeit very slowly) This method of simple lead lessons really gives me a foothold on the techniques required, and a great new way of looking at the pentatonic scale.
