Yea, diga-diga…cool.I love it. Tell ya, as a 51 year old, 30 year player you young guys don’t know how lucky you are. Don’t give it up and don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise if you love it as I do. We didn’t even have tab back then. We used chord charts and worked out leads. But I never believed an EXACT copy of a riff is necessary. If you play for a group of say 50 people, there might be 1 person AT MOST that knows the exact notes. Otherwise there’d be a hell of a lot more virtuosos. Forget the “A+” playing and just get in the groove! Find a bass player for sure.
Oh, and if you’re taking it seriously, learn theory as you go along. Otherwise at some point you’ll hit a brick wall in your playing. Trust me on this one. It happened to me for 10 years and I lost interest and playability. I’m back on track again but time is running out!
