Hey, what’s going on this is Jon McLennan with Guitar Control; in this video lesson I will show you how to play “Give a Little Bit” a Classic tune by Supertramp. This is a great song and a great band, nothing like simple strumming chords to create such a memorable riff. I mean all you got to do is an a7 to d, and that’s how we start.
Check the image above to follow the chords and tabs.
We start with your second finger, third finger a7, do that twice, then go ga7, ga7, and then a minor. That’s basically the verse and in the end was a7 sus to a, a7 sus to a. Now the second time you’re doing that you go to a sack solo f-sharp minor seven, b minor seven, f sharp minor 7, f sharp minor g.
So the last part that we have to go through, let me just rewind real quick and show you that seven walk. What I was doing here is playing an a7 getting this sixth interval, and then I move up to four and three, and then five and five, back to four and three, and you’re back to the verse again.
The only other bit would be the ending, you just take that d triad and move it around, so you go T, then move it up to the seventh fret it becomes g over d, then move it up two frets a, g, and d, so that sounds like this.
