12 Days of Christmas 2009 – Day 1 https://guitarcontrol.com/xmas/12-days-of-christmas-2009-day-1/ https://guitarcontrol.com/xmas/12-days-of-christmas-2009-day-1/#comments Mon, 14 Dec 2009 19:19:04 +0000 http://www.claudejohnson.com/blog/?p=191 Hey Guitarists,

Welcome to the “12 Days of Christmas”. I’ll be
putting up a video everyday for 12 days , starting today.

Each day, I’ll either be giving out a cool prize,
or teaching you something cool on the guitar.

SO check out today’s video. I actually have a a cool
chord to show you.

Today’s mini lesson: The minor 9 11 chord.

This is a cool shape and can be moved up
and down the fretboard.

This is an advanced chord , both in terms of its musical
sophistication and also its unusual and physically challenging
layout.

Watch the video for the fingering on the Bmin9 11 chord.
For the E min9 11 barre chord, use your first finger to barre the
top 5 strings of the 5th fret, then put your middle finger on
the 7th fret A string, your ring finger on the 7th fret G string,
and your pinky on the 7th fret B string.

So don’t worry if you can’t play it right away. Just
thought I’d show it to you.

Keep checking the blog everyday for more fun videos, and
please post your comments because I’ll be giving prizes out
to random commentors! 🙂
