Sing your lead lines. The first and most obvious part of phrasing is that you’ll have to take a breath now and again. You emphasize words/notes with volume changes, tonal changes and duration. Use your guitar to ‘answer’ the lyrics – BB is the master.

I have spent a year learning major and minor pentatonic scales frontward and backwards, learning the notes all over the fret board, and basic theory……the question now is “What can I do with this knowledge to hear music coming out of my amp?” I want to learn much more about phrasing!!!!
