About Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin was an English rock band from London that formed in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer the late John Bonham. The heavy guitar sound is credited for influencing the hard rock and metal bands that followed, even though their style had a blues and folk influence. Led Zeppelin is one of the most famous and influential rock bands of the 20th century.
Legacy
The band recorded 9 studio albums before they disbanded in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham. The band has been awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their fourth untitled studio record, aka Led Zeppelin IV, is one of the best selling albums of all time, the album has sold over 37 million copies.
They have been awarded five Diamond albums, fourteen Multi-Platinum, four Platinum and one Gold album in the United States and in the UK they have five Multi-Platinum, six Platinum, one Gold and four Silver albums. Rolling Stone Magazine 14th greatest band of all time.
