There was a huge celebration in London this
weekend honoring the Queen’s 60 year reign
While I honestly don’t really know that
much about the queen, I’m glad
the UK has given us guitar gods like
Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour
Pete Townshend,, Brian May, and Ritchie Blackmore,
just to name a few 🙂
Now onto today’s guitar topic.
Someone on MY GUITAR BLOG
just commented about one of my recent lessons.
They liked how I was showing how to add in
single note licks in between blues chords,
and asked me to do a video showing how
to do the same thing but with other chord
progressions (not just I-IV-V)
So I start filming a short video
series for you about this.
There’s at least 4 ways I can think of
to add single note lines in with your
1. Bass note runs
2. Chord tones
4. Counter-melodies (fills)
I’ll be talking about each one of
these and showing you examples,
starting in the next email.
And I’ll also be releasing some
other cool, fun stuff in the
next few weeks.
Have a good one!
