The art of chordal embellishment

Friend,

How does a pro guitarist embellish a
simple chord progression with ordinary
major and minor chords?

One way, is just in arranging the chords –
putting the right chords next to each
other, and knowing when and how to
resolve a progression is crucial.

Another way, is to use some cool
picking patterns.

Or, you could use some open strings
and slide around and throw in some
fancy licks.

Since a picture is worth a thousand
words, I thought I would make things
simple and send you this video from

It’s a nice little video to help get you through
the day. Enjoy!
