Jimmy shows an amazing assortment of cool sounds you can conjure up from
your acoustic. Here’s just 2 of them: The “Led Zeppelin” sound, and the Celtic sound.
This is from the third DVD… Jimmy starts off teaching some an amazing
song that he wrote called “Sea of Blues”, although this is strictly speaking,
not a blues progression.
It’s a soulful, minor key ballad, and there is much here in terms of songwriting,
chord progressions, fingerstyle, spicing up ordinary chords, and a lot more.

Here, Jimmy teaches tons more styles with blues in E, and then gets into folk blues
(including Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton styles), finger picking, “claw-hammer” style, and folk.

]]>Show me a great fingerpicker, and I’ll
show you a guitarist who can out perform
even a hardcore shredder.
Fingerpicking just sounds great and
you don’t need any other musicians
either – you can play solo and
sound amazing.
Well, guess what, we got none other
than the maestro himself – Stefan Grossman,
to put together a mindblowing package
of fingerpicking guitar lessons.
Here’s a short clip of the introduction
to one of the videos where he talks
about how to play with “3 hands”.
Listen to his explanation and post
your comment!
We’ll have lots more details soon
about this new DVD package.
Stay Tuned!
