If you’re looking for a great guitar course (or two), look no further than GuitarControl.com. Our website is full of great guitar lessons for beginners all the way to expert guitar players. There’s something there for everyone, but if you’re a little puzzled about where to begin, we’ve put together a few suggestions that will help to get you started.
If you’re a beginner, you may want to take a look at one of our latest lessons on one-string guitar songs. This great lesson walks you through five great riffs from classic rock songs that can be played on just one string! The lesson includes “Seven Nation Army,” “Iron Man,” “Smoke on the Water,” “Sunshine of Your Love” and “New York City Cops.” Having just a couple of these easy riffs under your fingers cab really give you the confidence to tackle bigger and more complicated tunes.
If you’re an intermediate who’s interested in blues guitar, take a look at our lesson in the style of Robert Johnson. Robert Johnson is the indisputable king of Delta blues, and just having a few of his great blues tricks in your toolbox is a great way to spice up your blues playing. Whether you’re playing electric or acoustic blues, Robert Johnson’s classic tunes will teach you a thing or two. Fair warning, though: Eric Clapton still claims that he can’t play as well as Robert Johnson; maybe Slowhand’s being modest, but keep in mind that some aspects of Robert Johnson’s playing are extremely difficult to replicate.
If you’re a bit more advanced and would like to take on some complicated chord voicings and rhythmic patterns, look no further than our lesson on minor key reggae patterns. This lesson definitely isn’t for beginners, so if you don’t understand the basic barre chord shapes, this lesson might not be for you. It might also be helpful if you know a bit of music theory; that will help you get the very most out of this video.
These are just a handful of some of the great lessons we have available on our website. Make sure to take a look through our archives and find a lesson that’s just right for you! We have lessons for any skill level at GuitarControl.com!
