Blues guitarist Jon Gordon Langseth Jr., known by his stage name “Jonny Lang”, is an American blues, gospel, and rock singer and songwriter, as well as a recording artist. Born on January 29, 1981, in Fargo, North Dakota.
Lang started playing the guitar at the age of twelve after he went to see the Bad Medicine Blues Band. He soon began taking lessons from the Bad Medicine Blues Band’s guitar player, Ted Larsen, and joined the band several months later, which got renamed to Kid Jonny Lang & the Big Bang. In 1996 blues guitarist Lang was signed to A&M Records. His second album Wander This World, released in 1998, earned a Grammy nomination, and his newest album “Turn Around”, released in 2006, won Lang his first Grammy Award.
