My Girl
Alright so this is a very easy song and I think is going to be a really cool Jam so let’s check out what’s happening. So we got two different things going on right here. We have a little bit of a guitar riff going on right there and we also have some chord rhythms going on. So what I would like to notice first is the chords that these guitar riffs are outlining because there’s this thing happening right here that goes… So what are the exact chords that this is outlining? First let’s check out the riff and what has happened. So the first part we have the third fret of the fifth string and the open fourth string and I’m going to the second fret of the fourth string, second fret of the third string, the first fret of the second string. So you’re probably thinking I should just do it as if it was the C major, but I find it to be easier if you move this finger because if you do this with this one right here with the index finger. Then you go six string first fret with your index finger and then you after that you go into the open fifth string and then the fifth string open and it replays twice… So for the first chord we have a C; third fret of the fifth string, our ring finger on the second fret of the fourth string with our middle finger, open third string and then the index on the first fret of a second string. Then we go into the D minor; we have the open fourth string, the second fret of the third string with second finger, third fret of the second string with third finger and first fret of the first string with first finger. I’m going to an F; place your index finger all over the first fret, with your ring finger into the third fret of the fifth string, third fret of the fourth string and 2nd fret of the first string. And then into G major; so for this one you’re gonna go into the third fret of the sixth string with your second finger, second fret of the fifth string with your second finger, open fourth and third and then you go into the third fret of the second string with your third finger and third fret of the first string with your fourth finger. So for the rhythm you go… now what you might want to do is have a little bit of a passing chord in there like a muted chord or open strings like this… but ideally you want to play in full chords.
