Mississippi John Hurt.
He was a total original and an influence
on other legendary guitarists
like Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan.
I’m stoked about the fact that Mississippi John Hurt
is one of 6 guitar legends featured on our new

In today’s video, you’ll see part of one
his most famous songs called “Spike Driver Blues”.
Yes, you’ll actually see some original footage
of John Hurt himself!
This guy sure looked like he was having fun
playing that guitar.
And we’ll start breaking down how he got his
driving sound. You’ll learn the exact chord
formations he was using. These chords are NOT
hard to do.
But I should say that this video is more about inspiration and
knowledge than getting some quick licks under
your fingers like our last video…
That’s because we need to go a bit deeper
into what the right hand is doing to make
it clear.
