Acoustic Blues Guitar Lick in the Style of Eric Clapton -- Easy Blues Guitar Lesson

Acoustic Blues Guitar Lick in the Style of Eric Clapton - Easy Blues Guitar Lesson

How’s it going, guys? This is John McClennan
and I’m here with guitarcontrol.com, bringing you
this video lesson. We’re looking at sort of a Clapton
blues lick here on acoustic guitar. I love playing
the blues on acoustic. This is coming from the blues
in the key of E and this is applied over the IV chord, the A.

We’re going to slide right into the 6th fret
here and then we’re going to play the 5th right after.
So if you think of your A triad there, right in the chord.

And then we do this chromatic… What I’m doing there is
7, 6, 5 and then I’m bending the 8th fret and then playing
the 5th fret there. You can milk that lick. There are lots
of variations you can do with that basic figure. But start
with just this simple one. That’s going over our A7 chord here.

So once again, slowly. The frets are 6, 5, 5, 7, 6, 5, 8 bend, 5.
