Just a quick follow-up to the last video where we saw
this kind of intro to a “Dust My Broom” style blues.
When you’re doing that you need to know where to go with
the vocals, how to come in. This pitch is an F.
You need to have that in mind.
Here’s the next lick. You have 10th fret of the B string,
8th fret of the high E string and you slide into it from
a half step below and it’s like a one, two, three; one,
two, three; one, two, three. You go to your IV chord,
same thing. Do that riff again and then back into your…
Here’s your turnaround. It’s just going to be your V chord.
This is a good place to throw in the 7th there, a little bit
of a stretch. Down to the G chord and then you can use that
same intro riff that you did for the turnaround. Think of it
like when you’re on the intro you really are playing a turnaround
before the one. Once again. And then back into your top.
Try that out. It’s a real simple way to play blues songs
like “Dust My Broom” and I hope you have fun with it.
