Hey guys,

check out the latest guitar lesson from Jon MacLennan…

He gives you some nice chord ideas in the style of John Mayer!

Hey, how’s it going, everybody?
My name is John McClennan and I’m
here today with guitarcontrol.wpmudev.host,
bringing you this video blog. I’m
really excited to look at some sort
of John Mayer kind of voicings and
expanding more into a little bit of
jazz and also using the thumb.
So this is a real interesting lesson
and be sure to click the links below
for the tabs and let’s jump right in.

Basically we’re going to have on top
just three note structures, like this:
2nd fret, 3rd fret, 4th fret and then
we’re going to add our thumb. So this
gives us a real nice G major 7 chord.
We’re going to harmonize again up the
scale all of the chords of this chord
family in the key of G.
