Hey, how’s it going this is Jon McLennan with Guitar Control, we’re looking at an 8 bar blues in the style of Ray Charles, if you’ve heard it is tuned hard times this is a real cool set of changes to play over and also just to kind of improvise on cordially as I just was a second ago so let me show you the changes here.

We’re going start out here on an E flat barre chord like this and this is on the 6th fret with my third fingers, that’s my 1st chord and then I go to a G9 / D this is like your G9 kind of chord shape but I put 5th in the bass then I’m going to walk down to a C minor 7 and I played that with my thumb like this, Jimi Hendrix style you know of course I can do that romantic stuff I can just walk down it gives me this nice effect then I’m going to keep walking here you got a B9 chord, this is the 7th fret, 7th fret, 6th fret, 4th fret actually its B13 once I had that high string and then B flat minor 7, A13 which is 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, and then just move down the half step to a flat 13 and I walk back up A diminished chord 5th fret, 4th fret, 5h fret, 4th fret, then I just moved to this three note chord here this is a triad of basically an E flat over B flat. A nice sounds 4th fret 5th fret, 6th fret and moves to the 6th chord which is C9 and then again another one of these thumb chords F7 sharp five, then I just moved that same shape up to the 6th fret to B flat 7 sharp 5 returning home to the time which is E flat then I walk up the blues then ending with another thumb chord A flat.

Let’s see if we can put these chords together and be sure to click the link so you can you know clarify all these shapes in tab and practice so here we go one, two, all right. Make sure to subscribe on our You Tube Channel and we’ll see you in our next video lessons, thanks for watching.
