How to Master Your Bends With A Riff, A Lick And A Killer Guitar Solo

In this lesson we’re going to be taking a look at one of the most unique and most used techniques of the guitar – bends! This is a sound that I guarantee you’ve heard in some of your favourite guitar solos, and probably in a lot of your favourite licks and riffs.

Mike B is going to be taking a dive into a riff – the metal classic “Walk” by Pantera – a lick – a tasty excerpt from Mountain’s “Mississippi Queen” – and even a whole solo – the tune “Can’t Stop” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Soon these songs will be under your fingers and you’ll feel the exhilarating rush of being able to play a whole solo note for note along with the record! Stay tuned as he also goes into the subtleties of vibrato and shows how related it is to the skill of bending! This is a technique that will definitely increase the musicality of your phrases and playing in general. I hope you’re as excited as I am! Make sure to grab the TABs and a guitar, and sit back for a rockin’ lesson!
