Hey, how’s it going this is Darrin Goodman with Guitar Control, I want to teach you how to play the Intro for “Silent Lucidity” by Queen’s Reich. This is a great a great riff to learn if you’re a beginner it with finger picking because it sounds really cool and it looks like you’re doing a lot but there’s really not, very basic picking with your right hand and not a whole lot going on with your left hand either, really simple movements.

Check the image above to follow the chords and tabs.

We start on the 5th fret of the 4th string with your first finger the 5th fret of the 1st string with your second finger and the 7th fret of the 1st string with your pinky and know you got two fingers on the same string but what we’re going to be doing is alternating between lifting and lowering down that pinky to switch that note from the 5th to the 7th fret. Then with our right hand we’re playing so on strings 4, 3, 2, and 1, your thumb is playing the 4th string, your first finger is playing the 3rd string, your second finger is playing the 2nd string, and your third finger is playing the 1st string.

The picking pattern for this is thumb and then fingers 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1. Then you simply remove your pinky and repeat 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, and then 3 at the end. So 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, and you do that entire sequence twice. The next part is we just slide that shape, or playing with our first and second fingers from the 5th fret down to the 2nd fret and do the same picking sequence. For the change we’re going to put our third finger down on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string and we’re going to move our first, second and third fingers from strings 3, 2, and 1, 2, strings 4, 3, and 2, and do the same thing 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, and then start over and you play that sequence twice as well, and then that entire thing repeats from where we started.

In the next section we’re going to put our first finger on the 3rd fret of the 5th string of our second finger on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string and our pinky on the 5th fret of the 2nd string. Now we’re going to do the same thing, were doing like the beginning on the 1st riff, but now we’re on straight we’re playing it on strings 5, 4, 3, and 2, so your thumbs on 5 your first finger on your 2nd finger on 3 and your 3rd finger is on 2 same picking pattern. Thumb 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, lift our pinky off 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, same thing and play it twice. Now simply remove your first finger and repeat the sequence, but now the bass note is the open 5th string put it back on back off. There you have it that’s the opening sequence for “Silent Lucidity” by Queen’s Reich,

Judas Priest's Victim Of ChangesIntroduction

Hi everybody. This is Darrin from GuitarControl.com bringing you this little video lesson today. Today I want to show you how to play the intro for Victim of Changes by Judas Priest. This is a pretty easy lick that uses a lot of open strings and stuff and it has a harmony. What I’m going to be showing you today is how to play the melody, so it would be guitar 1. Be sure to click on the link in the description for the tabs, and let’s get started.

Victim Of Changes Intro Riff

We start off this Easy Intro From Judas Priest’s Victim Of Changes, we’re going to start on the 19th fret of the 1st string, and I’m using my pinkie. Some people are more comfortable using their 3rd finger. We’re going to play 19, 15 and then the open string; just like that. It is played as triplets and so you’re counting: one, two, three; one, two, three; one, two, three. However you like to count it. I personally like to count one-yellow, two-yellow, three-yellow, four-yellow so that way I can keep track of where I am in the timing in the measure. We play that eight times, so two measures of that, then we shift up and we start with the open string and we go open, 17, 20. We do this I believe this is just four times. Nope. That one is eight times as well. Then we go back to the original position and we do that eight more times. Then we shift down and we play starting on the 17th fret of the 1st string. Again, I’m going to be doing this with my pinkie to the 14th fret and then the open string. Now we shift down to the 15th fret and I’m doing this with my pinkie, to the 12th fret and we do that once. Then we move to the 2nd string and play the same frets. Next we shift down to the 12th fret and I’m doing this now with my 3rd finger. We’re on the 2nd string and we’re going to go 12, 10, open. Then we’re doing to shift down to the 10th fret and we’re going to go 10, 8, open. Then we’re going to shift down again and we’re going to be 8, 7, 0. We’re going to do this repetitively. We’re going to do this eight times. The first four times we’re just going to play it regular. Then, the second four times we’re going to palm mute that string. When I palm mute I’m just taking my right hand and I’m placing this part of my palm just right on the bridge, right where the strings make contact with the saddle. That way you get that muffled sound. If you’re too far forward it’s dead. If you’re too far back it doesn’t sound muted. So you have to kind of find that sweet spot. Again, four times there. Then we’re going to finish it off with this little run here. It’s a lot of pentatonic stuff, but it also has some chromatic movements in it. We start on the 9th fret of the 3rd string and we’re going to go 9, 7 and then go to the 4th string and go 9, 8, 7. Then we’re going to go to the 10th fret of the 5th string and go 10, 9, 7. Now we’re going to shift down a whole step and we’re going to start on the 7th fret of the 5th string and we’re going to go 7, 6, 5. Then we’re going to go to the 6th string and go 7, 6, 5. Then 3, 2, 0. So that’s the Intro From Judas Priest’s Victim Of Changes

Conclusion

So it’s a pretty easy lick. It sounds really cool. It looks cool because you’re moving around a lot. Any time you’re incorporating the open strings and stuff with higher frets I just think it gives kind of a really cool sound. Anyhow, be sure to click on the link in the description for the tabs and thanks for watching Easy Intro From Judas Priest’s Victim Of Changes.

Learn How to Play `No Woman No Cry´ by Bob Marley -- Easy Acoustic Guitar Lesson with Tabs

no woman no cryIntroduction

Hi everybody this is Paige Zollars and I’m here with SongTabs.com. Today I’m going to show you how to play No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley.

No Woman No Cry Chords

So the chords in this song are C major… A minor… F major… and a chord called G over B (G/B) and you’re going to put your first finger on the second fret of the A string and your third finger on the third fret of the high E string and the B, G and D strings are all played open. So those are the only four chords in this whole song.

Chorus

So the song starts out with the chorus. So it goes; C major, G/B, A minor, F major and then back to C major and then back to F major and then back to C major and then to G and then the whole thing repeats and sounds like this… Then we go to the first verse.

Verse

So you’re already on G major and then it goes to C major and then G/B and then to A minor and then to F major and it sounds like this… From there you can go into another verse if you want or you can go back into another chorus. So if you go into another chorus it will go like this… and then repeat it… So after as many verses as you want to do there is a bridge part.

Bridge

For the bridge you simply just repeat the first part of the chorus; so C major to G/B to A minor and to F major and it just keeps repeating and sounds like this… you can repeat this as many times as you want.

Conclusion

No Woman No Cry is simple and that is all of the parts for No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley and you can find the tabs below this video. Thanks for watching.
