About Joe Satriani
Tears in the Rain artist Joe Satriani is the most commercially successful solo guitarist of all time. He was inspired to pickup the guitar after hearing of the death of Jimi Hendrix, who he credits as a great influence. He has six gold and platinum albums reaching sales in excess of 10 million copies and has been nominated for a Grammy Award 15 times. Satriani spent a large amount of his early career as a guitar instructor and many of his students went on to achieve very successful musical carriers. His former students include; Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, Alex Skolnick, Andy Timmons, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Paul Gilbert, Robert Fripp and Steve Morse. Despite all of his success, Satriani was actually turned down after auditioning for the band Giuffria. Giuffria has since disbanded.
Later Career
Satriani has served as a touring guitarist for Mick Jagger and Deep Purple after the departure of Ritchie Blackmore. He is well known for his G3 Tours that have placed him on stage with two other famous guitarists per tour. Past tours have included; Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Phil Colin. He is also a founding member of Chickenfoot that also features Sammy Hagar and former Van Halen bassist Mike Anthony. In total he has released 16 studio albums and one live album and continues to write, record, produce and tour to this day and is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential guitarists of all time.

“You Give Love A Bad Name” is the first single from Bon Jovi’s third album 1986s “Slippery When Wet” and is also the bands first number one single. The song was named the 20th Greatest Hard Rock Song Of All Time by VH1 in 2009. In 2007 the song returned to the charts after Blake Lewis performed it on American Idol.
About Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is an America rock band formed in New Jersey in 1983 by vocalist Jon Bon Jovi. The band has gone through a couple of lineup changes that include original guitarist Richie Sambora leaving the band in 2013. In 1986 the band released their third studio album “Slippery When Wet” which launched them into superstardom. The album gave them three top ten singles, two of which went on to number one on the Billboard Charts, and went on to sell over 20 million copies. Bon Jovi has released 15 studio albums, three live albums and five compilation albums to date. They have sold over 100 million albums world wide making them one of the best selling rock bands of all time.
In 2014 the band announced that original guitarist and song writer Richie Sambora had quit the band and was replaced by touring guitarist Phil X. The band says that they hold no animosity toward Sambora and wish him all the best. Sambora said that he has no bad blood with the band and that he is still friends with vocalist Jon Bon Jovi and that says that a return to the group is a possibility.

About The Police
The Police was an English rock band formed in 1977 in London by drummer Stewart Copeland after he exchanged numbers with bassist/vocalist Sting. The Police gained popularity in the late 70s in the British New Wave music scene.
They released their first album, Outlandos D’Amour in 1978 which featured the singles “Can’t Stand Losing You” and “Roxane” and reached number six on the UK charts. Their second album, Reggatta de Blanc, was released in 1979 and became number one in the UK and Australia thanks to the singles “Message In A Bottle” and “Walk On The Moon”. Their final album, Synchronicity, was released in 1983 and was a number one album in the UK, Italy, the US, Australia and Canada. The album sold over 8 million copies and featured their biggest hit “Every Breath You Take”.
The Police disbanded in 1986 and then reunited in 2007 for a tour that lasted until 2008; making them the highest earning musicians in 2008. The Police have sold over 75 million albums making them one of the best selling artists of all time. The Police have been awarded six Grammy awards, an MTV Music Video Award and two Brit Awards including best band. Four of their five studio albums have been listed in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and they are listed in Rolling Stone’s and VH1s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
The Police ended after frontman Sting decided to do a solo career and guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland both went on to have successful solo careers as well.
